About UIAAAN

Introduction

The Alumni Network features members of all ages, graduation years, ethnic backgrounds, and geographical locations. We also sponsor many activities and events to bring alumni from the University community together.

We feel it is important and valuable to continue to develop the network amongst everyone associated with the University of Illinois who has a desire and interest to contribute to the Asian American cause. AAAN is open to all alumni of the University of Illinois and is an official affiliate group of the University of Illinois Alumni Association.

If you have an interest in participating with this group, please fill out our membership form. Upon submission, you will also be added to the official AAAN listserv and connected with other University of Illinois Asian American Alumni.

History

This section is currently in progress.

The Asian American Alumni Network (AAAN) was created by Asian Pacific American (APA) alumni who recognized the need to create an organization just for you. In 2005, the AAAN became an official affiliate of the greater University of Illinois Alumni Association. Since then, the AAAN Board has worked hard to launch the organization. We are pleased to announce that we are now ready to invite you to become an AAAN member!

Throughout the summer of 2006, AAAN hosted and co-sponsored business networking events and partnered with the Urbana-Champaign campus to involve alumni in its student mentorship program.

Thank you everyone for attending! We look forward to bringing you many more events and programs in the months and years to come.
